This attractive and well made little speaker from GAOSA Arrived nicely presented in a mid market style box making it suitable as a gift unlike the many products shipped in plain eco friendly boxes. Inside was the speaker itself together with an audio cable, USB to micro-USB charging cable and a small but well printed and easy to read User Guide.
Build quality seems excellent. The speaker seems well made and robust with nothing looking like it was about to fail anytime soon. The speaker is made from plastic with a metal effect grill to the front. On top are the usual track and volume controls with a large and more prominent Play/Pause button together with the microphone slot. The control buttons are not recessed but are easy to find by touch and sight. On the back is the micro-USB charging port, an audio in port, USB port,TF card slot and a small Off/On turret switch.
The speaker features Bluetooth 3 and connecting to my Android phone was made easier with the loud voice guided prompts. Once connected the link seemed stable and was re connected automatically after a reboot. It is a pity the faster and more battery efficient Bluetooth 4.1 has not been used.
Sound quality seems fine. For the size of the device the bass response is not at all bad. The device has a microphone and I was able to receive a call on the speaker although doing so is a bit awkward due to the size. The sound was OK either end of the conversation.
This is a nice little speaker. Small and handy enough to fit in a jacket pocket with decent audio quality, unusual design, good build quality and at an excellent price of just £25.99.
