This new Power Bank from imuto with a capacity of 20000mAh this is an above average capacity powerbank but is smaller in both size and weight than some other less powerful I have used. It also supports high speed Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology which also lifts it up a bit from the herd..
The powerbank arrived nicely packaged in an eco friendly cardboard box robust enough to store the unit in if needed. Supplied with the powerbank was a short USB to micro-USB charging cable, soft carry bag,,and a small but well written and easy to read User Guide, not that you are likely to need to read it. I enclose a scan of it on the end of my unboxing video just in case you do.
Although smaller than I expected the powerbank is quite chunky. It seems very robust and well made and capable of surviving a knock or two. It has the look and feel of a high end premium device with an attractive brushed nylon effect matt black skin.
The only feature on the front is a small LED and rather dim display to show the remaining battery power. On the top are two standard USB ports, one outputting as required at 5-6V/3A, 6-9V/2A, 9-12V/1.5A and the other at 5V/2.4A , also on the top is the micro-USB power-in charging port. They are all smart ports and will detect the requirements of the connected device and output exactly the power level needed. Next to the micro-USB port is the only control, a simple Off/On switch.
I tested it with my Nexus 6P phone and my Tablet and found the charging times to be fast with no sign of overheating either from the powerbank or connected device.
It is a pity that there is no USB-C port as increasing numbers of phones and tablets now feature this interface. It also lacks many of the other whistles and bells that some other chargers have but the lack of them does not bother me as I am looking for a Powerbank not a flashlight or a device to get stones out of horses hooves.
This is a powerful and capacious powerbank, free from distracting and unneeded features that performs one task and does it superbly well. The price, currently at £29.99, is good for the features and capacity as is the robust high end build quality. I see no reason why not to recommend it.
