This is a wall charger unlike any other I have seen before. It has a sort of 1950’s retro look to it and appears to have been made on a Tyneside steelworks. In fact it is no more heavy than any other similarly sized charger I have tried.
In the rather attractive windowed box is the charger itself, a UK three pin plug, a two pin Euro plug, , a soft carry bag and a User Guide. The User Guide is well printed and well written if rather small. I enclose a scan of it on the end of my unboxing video.
The device has a fold out two pin USA plug built into it but this can be easily replaced with either the EU or UK plugs included which snap in place to make a single robust and secure charger. The unit has four USB ports. There is one One QC 2.0 port which can output at 9V/2A , to 12V/1.5A (18W MAX) for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 compatible devices and this port is colour coded green for easy identification. Coloured blue are the three ZEN+ USB ports which will smart power your devices up to 5V/2.4A per port, and 5V/4.0A in total. It is a pity there is no USB-C port available and this is the only feature this charger lacks.
It works well I found. All the devices I attached charged up speedily enough with no sign of over heating either from the attached devices or the charger itself. The charger is well made and robust enough for sustained heavy use. This is a good quality charger, not the cheapest available but well worth the price for the build quality and high power output.
