If you are looking for a simple but well specified sports and fitness tracker but don’t want to pay for a premium name product then this new wrist mounted tracker from LESHP might be just want you need.
In the reasonably attractive product box there is the writs band itself, a short USB to micro-USB charging cable and a fanfold type User Guide which is small but well printed in colour and reasonably well written.
Priced at just £24.55 this unit closely resembles the Fitbit Charge HR and mirrors most if not all of the costly rival’s functions. It supports a Heart Rate Monitor, Clock, Pedometer, distance travelled, Calories used, Sleep Monitor, SMS monitor, Movement Reminder, Call Alert, Anti-lost Alert/Find Phone, Wrist Sense, Tap Switch, Remote Camera control. It integrates in with Wechat, Skype, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter to display message alerts. All this is done through the latest low energy Bluetooth 4.2 connection and allows a claimed 5 day plus of between charge use to be not unrealistic.
No IP rating is given for how water resistent it is so I would assume it is OK in the rain but not for the shower or swimming. This is a pity and restricts the number of sports it can be used with.
To use the device the Android or iOS app must be downloaded and the tracker then paired to it. The app then connects seamlessly to the tracker and continually updates the steps taken, distance travelled etc, and can display real time heart rate. The app is OK but comes nowhere near that from Fitbit which you have to expect given the price.
If you want a good quality wrist tracker at a decent price that displays all the basic health monitoring units including heart rate at a price that will not break the bank then this is a recommended purchase.
