Most of the Essential oil aromatherapy diffusers I have tried have been basically the same. This one is first I have seen of this type and at last brings something new to the table.
This new EIVOTOR aromatherapy diffuser was packaged in a simple but attractive mid market box inside of which was the main diffuser itself, a power supply with a UK plug, a plastic measuring jug, remote control and a poorly translated but easy enough to follow User Guide (which I include on the end of my unboxing video).
To operate the device is simplicity itself. Detach the the top of the unit from the base, fill the unit with water to the indicated mark on the tank, add a few drops of your favourite essential oil, replace the top, plug in and switch on. There are just two buttons only. The first controls the misting period and there are five modes of use selected by repeated presses of the Mist button: continuous misting, 10 seconds on and one second off, two hours on, four hours on, misting off. The current timer status is indicated from the front panel LED lights. Should it run dry before then the misting process will automatically switch off to prevent over heating. The second button controls the light, one press turns it on and begins a 15 second cycles through the seven colours, a second short press will lock it to your selected colour, press again to turn the light off. Long press on a chosen colour to switch between high and dim light.
This is the first diffuser I have tried that is remote controlled. It comes with a credit card sized remote control with proper clicky buttons. All the basic features can be accessed from the remote and it really does make the device much easier to use.
The diffuser is nicely designed and should sit well in a home, office or clinical environment, the lighting is subtle and unobtrusive and the misting process is pleasant and can lift or give atmosphere to the room. With a larger than normal 500ml tank capacity it is larger and longer burning than many of the rival units. Be aware that due to the nature of the misting process some water may be precipitated around the device so do not locate it close to sensitive objects. This diffuser can emit a large amount of mist, more so than most of the others I have tried, which is a good or bad thing according to your outlook.
Of the several diffusers I have experimented with this is one perhaps the best as it simple to use, looks good, has a larger water tank and burning time than usual and has the added bonues of a remote control. It is a little less expensive than some which can only be for the good. At the current Amazon price of £26.59 it is a very decent buy indeed.
