Meterk 4000 Counts Digital Clamp Multimeter MK-QX1

This new digital clamp Multimeter from Meterk arrived attractively packaged in a simple but robust cardboard box inside of which was the Multimeter itself, a soft carry case, a test lead set, a multi language User Guide and three AAA batteries pre inserted into the device.

This is designed as a working tool and the multimeter and cables seems tough and robust enough to survive building site life. The bag is made from cloth and is secured with a zip and although it seems fine for normal use it is distinctly less rugged than the device itself. The user Guide is nicely printed on glossy paper but is quite small and hard to read. I enclose a scan of it on the end of my unboxing video, switch to full screen and pause as needed to view it.

The multimeter will deal with all household needs and all but the most arcane professional requirements. It will perform accurate AC/DC Voltage, AC/DC Current, Frequency, Duty Cycle, Diode, Capacitance and Resistance Measurement, Non-contact Voltage Detection. It will emit visual and audio alert If it detects an AC Voltage(90V-1000V) or Live Wire. When testing circuit integrity it gives low voltage indication with overload protection and alerts. The back lit LCD is large and easy to read and their is a internal LED light that shines from between the clamp jaws to illuminate the working area. All the basic specifications are covered and more. It will measure AC and DC current of 40A/400A ±(3.0%+6), AV voltage of 4V/40V/400V/600V ±(1.2%+10), DC voltage of 00mV/4V/40V/400V ±(0.8%+2), 600V ±(1.0%+2), Resistance of 400Ω/4KΩ/40KΩ/400KΩ/4MΩ ±(0.8%+2), 40MΩ ±(1.0%+2), and capacitance of 40nF/400nF/4μF/40μF/100μF ±(3.0%+10.

It is an easy tool to work with and tough enough to withstand all the home and building site has to throw at it. The current Amazon price of
£30.99 make it a very attractive buy indeed.
